What verification asks Discord to authorize
Steam and Discord account linking is required for verification. The separate server-recovery authorization is optional and requested only after you link your accounts.
Account verification: identify
Confirms your Discord account ID and username so it can be linked to your Steam ID. The site never receives your Discord password.
Optional server recovery: guilds.join
If you choose to authorize it after verification, this permission lets our bot restore your Discord account to configured Brick Rigs RP server(s) after a raid or accidental removal. We use it only for configured servers, only for an eligible profile, and only after a moderator starts recovery. The bot then synchronizes only the roles configured for your profile.
Your authorization token is stored encrypted on the server so recovery can work later. You can revoke the application's authorization in Discord's Authorized Apps settings. Revoking it disables future automatic restoration until you verify again.
Moderator dashboard: connections
This separate permission is requested only from the moderator-login button, never from member verification. It shows the signed-in moderator's linked services (for example, connected gaming accounts) as additional context. Discord does not provide this app a friends-list scope; this is not a list of friends and is not used to inspect members' friends.
